Cochrane Acute Respiratory Infections Group

About us

The Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) Group was registered with Cochrane on 17 August 1994, following an exploratory meeting on 26 May 1994, in Baltimore, USA. The ARI editorial base relocated from Canberra to Brisbane in 2001, and to Bond University, Gold Coast in 2004. Editorial meetings of the ARI Group are held at the annual Cochrane Colloquia.

The ARI Group editorial staff are responsible for supporting authors through the editorial process from title registration to review updating. These processes entail systematic literature searching, rigorous refereeing, technical support, clear communication, and working to deadlines to produce high quality systematic reviews for publication in the Cochrane Library. Our major goal is to improve the quality of healthcare worldwide, and to provide timely evidence to guide clinical and policy health decisions.
