Some Cochrane review titles have been registered with the ARI Group but require authors to undertake the review.
• Beta-2 agonists for pneumonia in adults (A145)
• Inhaled corticosteroids for persistent cough following acute respiratory tract infection in adults (A149)
After registering a Cochrane review title, authors first write a protocol, then a review, and finally must update and re-publish their review every two years. Sometimes authors are unable to maintain this commitment and their reviews are 'orphaned'. The following protocols and reviews have been orhpaned at various points in the process and need new authors to update them.
• Anti-cytokine and anti-endotoxin therapies in meningococcal disease (A019)
• Decongestants and antihistamines for persistent nasal discharge (rhinosinusitis) in children (A030)
• Nebulised adrenergic agonists for acute croup (A073)
• Symptomatic treatment of the cough in whooping cough (A058)
