Background

The Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) Group was registered with the Cochrane Collaboration on 17 August 1994, following an exploratory meeting in Baltimore, USA on 26 May 1994.  The ARI editorial base relocated from Canberra to Brisbane in 2001, and to the Gold Coast in 2004. Meetings of the ARI Group are held at the annual Cochrane Colloquia and teleconferences.
